King's Preparatory Academy values linguistics and communication as a means to increasing rigor in all core content areas as well as the arts. Through our Language Dual Path, prospective KPA Jaguars participate in linguistic based study that encompasses Speaking, Writing, Inquiry, Reading, and Listening (SWIRL).
Through linguistics and communication, KPA students not only learn a foreign language, but also become proficient in English language and composition. Currently our curriculum offers Spanish, French, German, and American Sign Language for second language concentration. However, every student in the Language Dual Path will also participate in debate, journalism, public speaking, and authorship. Capstone projects in the Language Dual Path occur in 8th, 11th, and 12th grades. Students meet the challenge of becoming a published author, giving their testimony before an audience of peers in a recorded program, as well as contribute to a Memoir of their Senior Class.
Extra curricular activities supporting the Language Dual Path include Debate Team, school newspaper, The Roar Media Team, and the chapel altar team.
